President Obama promise to Arab Spring democracy revolution

President Obama in his last speech on Middle East: "We face a historic opportunity. We have a chance to show that America values the dignity of a street vendor in Tunisia more than the raw power of the dictator" & "the future of the US was bound to the Middle East by forces of economics, security, history and fate" & "It will be the policy of the US to promote reform, and to support transitions to democracy"

In what was described as a major policy speech at the State Department, President Obama pledged aid to Arab nations that are shifting toward democracy and renewed calls for an Israeli-Palestinian two-state settlement. The president said "people of the Middle East and North Africa are casting off the burdens of the past" in what is now known as the Arab Spring.
