The most immersive things is that Toyota vehicle sales have dropped across the board compared to 2009 and Volkswagen Golf sales have increased by an impressive 142.4% compared to 2009 with the re-designed model that earned the Canadian Car of the Year award. If Volkswagen continues to improve on its reliability issues, it has a good chance to gain additional market share.
At the top of the best selling car is Mazda3 (6,284 units, +12.7%),
followed by Honda Civic (6,009 units, +19.3%)
Hyundai Elantra (3,497 units, +21.2%),
Hyundai Accent (3,201, -12.1%),
Ford Focus (2,394, +16.9%),
Volkswagen Golf (2,179, 142.4%),
Chevrolet Cobalt (2,037, +25.1%).
At the top best selling car in the light trucks segment, Ford F-Series (11,084, +34.8%) defends the best-selling title,
followed by aggresively priced Dodge Caravan (7,312, +30.8%),
Dodge Ram (5,987, +81.4%),
GMC Sierra (5,040, +48.3%),
Chevrolet Silverado (4,598, +44.4%)..
